The Washington Wizards are not going to be a playoff team in the 2024-25 NBA season. In fact, they may very well be one of the bottom three or even the worst team once the regular season ends. But for now, Washington’s recent two-game winning streak against the Atlanta Hawks has helped them in various power rankings.
ESPN released their latest NBA Power Rankings yesterday, where Washington ranked 27th. They have a 2-4 regular season record and are ranked ahead of the Detroit Pistons, Portland Trail Blazers and Utah Jazz who hold the last three spots.
