The Numbers Crunch: Breaking down the numbers behind the Wizards’ Sunday loss to the Pistons

Kevin Broom is not here this work week due to some professional obligations with his day job. I also had a busy Monday at my own day job. I had to prepare lessons for my students and get observed by an administrator today. For those of you who are teachers, if you know, you know.

Anyway, I know the Washington Wizards are playing the New York Knicks. But in the interest of consistency, let’s break down the box score.

Here’s the good, bad and ugly.

The Good

  • Washington had a higher free throw rate than Detroit
  • Kyle Kuzma got out of a shooting slump, scoring 22 points on 10-of-14 shooting overall
  • Jordan Poole remained hot from the three point line, going 3-of-5 from deep.
