Steve Buckhantz inducted to the Washington Metropolitan Basketball Hall of Fame

On Sunday, former Washington Wizards television play-by-play announcer Steve Buckhantz was inducted to the Washington Metropolitan Basketball of Fame at the Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Md.

According to Buckhantz (since I couldn’t find a reliable press link), he was inducted along with 1978 NBA Champion Kevin Grevey, Bobby Lewis, Brian Magid and Ronny Watts.

The Nats win made today's induction into the DC Metropolitan Basketball HOF even sweeter. Honored to go in with Bobby Lewis, Kevin Grevey, Brian Magid & Ronny Watts.

The Wizards’ preseason has started with his replacement Justin Kutcher calling games and it just doesn’t feel the same that Buckhantz never really had a chance to say goodbye on the air.
