Scott Brooks won’t return to the Wizards next season after he and Washington could not agree to an extension, according to a report.
ESPN reported Wednesday that Brooks and the Wizards have agreed to part ways. Brooks‘ contract was set to expire after the conclusion of this season and the Wizards were evaluating whether to retain him. Now, the Wizards will search for Brooks‘ replacement amid five other coaching vacancies in the NBA.
Hired in 2016, Brooks spent five seasons with the Wizards.
