Rumor Central: Re-signing Otto Porter Jr. remains top priority for Wizards

Otto Porter Jr., the No. 3 selection in the 2013 NBA draft, will become a restricted free agent on July 1, and the Washington Wizards are keen to lock in their starting small forward to a long-term deal soon after the 2017-18 salary-cap year begins.

"We want to keep Otto. We've said that. He's a very valuable piece for us. He fits the puzzle very well," Wizards president Ernie Grunfeld told CSN Mid-Atlantic."At the appropriate time we'll sit with his representative and work it out."

In 80 appearances, all starts, during the 2016-17 regular season, Porter averaged 13.
