The Washington Mystics are now on Olympic break. Now, it’s time for us to check in on how the Olympians and their teammates are doing. Starting point guard Julie Vanloo has the same role for the Belgium women’s national basketball team, and she’s coming to a Cats team that has completed most of their friendlies.
We already posted that Vanloo decided to be with the Mystics for the entire pre-Olympic part of their schedule rather than leave in June when the Cats’ friendly schedule started.
The Cats posted this (Vanloo speaks in Dutch though there are English subtitles) before the season started, but even if we didn’t post anything on the matter, Vanloo clearly saw playing on the Mystics as her preparation for the Olympics.
