It was just last month when the USA Basketball women’s national team was named for the Olympic Games in France. The Washington Mystics, who had two players on the 2022 FIBA Women’s World Cup, ended up emptyhanded. Though center Shakira Austin was out and still nursing a hip injury this season, guard Ariel Atkins, who also played on the 2020 Olympic team, was snubbed from the team. I think she’s snubbed, even though most of you fans think that she was undeserving, possibly because the Mystics suck this season.
