NBA referees defend no-call on Bradley Beal travel

Bradley Beal appeared to get away with a blatant travel Monday against the Detroit Pistons. The Wizards guard even seemed to realize this, later tweeting “Look clean to me” with two laughing emojis.

But NBA referees are sticking by their decision.

On Twitter, the official account for the NBA’s referees said the move was legal.

The offensive player gathers with his right foot on the ground. He then takes two legal steps, before losing control of the ball. After regaining possession, a player is allowed to regain his pivot foot and pass or shoot prior to that foot returning to the ground.
