An Aaliyah Edwards-less Washington Mystics squad fell in overtime to the Connecticut Sun, 94-91.
The Mystics had won 4 of 5 games heading into tonight’s matchup after a disastrous 0-12 start, and they’ve seemed to figure things out as of late. Aaliyah Edwards has been great as a rookie (especially as a rebounder), Julie Vanloo has been a gem out of Europe, and Myisha Hines-Allen has been a force off the bench and Ariel Atkins is steering the turnaround, averaging 14.8 points per game.
Tonight Hines-Allen led the way for Washington with 21 points. Stefanie Dolson added 18 points and continued a great three-point shooting season by draining four of seven from downtown.
