The Washington Mystics play the Chicago Sky tomorrow at Capital One Arena. And let’s say that the nation’s capital won’t be that friendly to the visitors, even if Chicago rookie forward Angel Reese comes from nearby Baltimore.
According to Annie Constabile of The Chicago Sun-Times, Sky guard Chennedy Carter was targeted in a confrontation with a male outside a Washington hotel when the Sky’s bus arrived there. Carter was the target, likely because she shoulder-checked Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark in a game last weekend. Fortunately, the Sky’s security detail quickly de-escalated the situation.
