The Mystics lost to the Lynx on Friday, 98-73 at Verizon Center. The loss also snaps their five game winning streak heading into the game.
The Lynx started this game out strong by racing out to a 33-20 lead in the first. Washington never had much of a counterpunch. I wasn’t surprised to see the Mystics behind after one quarter.
The Mystics were able to get the deficit down to single digits later in the second quarter. But Minnesota countered with another run of their own. Before long, the Lynx headed into half time with a 58-39 lead.
