The Mystics defeated the Aces on Tuesday, 71-67. The Mystics came out struggling so Elena Delle Donne did what she does best and carried her team. In the first quarter, Delle Donne was the lone scorer with 9 points.
Delle Donne finished with 23 points and 11 rebounds in Washington’s win. Tianna Hawkins and Ariel Atkins both chipped in with 17 and 15 points respectively.
For the Aces, rookie A’ja Wilson scored 16 points while Nia Coffey added 14.
Outscoring the Aces in the second and third quarters allowed the Mystics to overcome their half-time deficit of 23-31.
