Mystics at Dream final score: Washington gets first win of the season in Atlanta, 87-68

The Washington Mystics played the Atlanta Dream a couple of weeks ago in D.C. and lost in a close affair, 73-67. Tonight seemed like a good opportunity to get back at the Dream, although this time on their home floor. This time, they won their first game in blowout fashion, 87-68, to avoid tying a franchise record 13-game losing streak.

A boost of morale came right before the game when the team upgraded Brittney Sykes to PROBABLE (Left Ankle soreness). Of course, Shakira Austin – with a lingering Left Hip injury – was still listed as OUT.

My prediction pre-game was that we’ll finally see the Mystics grab that first win of the season after 14 consecutive losses, including 2 in the preseason.
