Alysha Clark's road to recovery, after suffering a Lisfranc injury of her right foot while playing in France, has begun. She underwent successful surgery, according to the Washington Mystics. The team tweeted a photo Friday of the 33-year-old, who appeared to be in good spirits as she held up a peace sign while on her hospital bed. In the post, the team said Clark had a successful surgery and wished her a speedy recovery.
The two-time WNBA champion signed with the Mystics in February but will sit out this upcoming season as she recovers.
