On Thursday, the WNBA announced that Las Vegas Aces forward A’ja Wilson won the 2020 Most Valuable Player Award. Despite the Aces playing without center Liz Cambage this season, they had an 18-4 regular season and won the No. 1 seed in the WNBA Playoffs.

Myisha Hines-Allen, who had a breakout 2020 season (17.0 points, 8.9 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game), also got some votes for the WNBA MVP award. She received two fifth-place votes which put her in a tie for 10th place with Phoenix Mercury guard Skylar Diggins-Smith.
