Myisha Hines-Allen has enjoyed an excellent start to her 2020 WNBA season with the Washington Mystics. And the league has taken notice of it.
On Monday, the WNBA announced that Hines-Allen was named the WNBA’s Eastern Conference Player of the Week for games played from July 25 to Aug. 2. She averaged 17.5 points, 9.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.0 steals per game during the time.
The Mystics are well-known for having a next-woman up mentality when injuries and other things happen. Due to the unique circumstances of this season, it appears that Hines-Allen is a beneficiary of taking advantage of her increased role, since the Mystics are 3-1 so far this season.
