On Monday, Monique Currie announced that she will retire from the WNBA. She played 13 seasons in the WNBA, most of them for the Mystics from 2007-14 and once again in the 2018 season. Currie made the announcement on her Instagram account.
Though Currie’s playing career is over, a new chapter begins. She will move to Portland, Ore. this summer to work for Nike at its corporate headquarters. It is also Currie’s 35th birthday!
The Mystics gave their thank you’s as well.
