After a rough preseason, Wizards fans were hopeful that Kyle Kuzma would regain his usual form once the regular season started or would play his way into form if conditioning was behind the slow start. However, through five games, that has not been the case.
Last season, Kuzma averaged 22.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 2.7 turnovers. He shot 46.3% from the field and 33.6% from three. So far this season, he’s averaging 15.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 3.2 turnovers. He’s only shooting 35.4% from the field and 31.3% from three. His defense fell off somewhat last season and so far this season it feels safe to say it at the very least hasn’t gotten any better.
