Kara Lawson will replace Phil Chenier as the primary analyst for CSN Mid-Atlantic’s Washington Wizards coverage, the network announced Wednesday.
She will call games with play-by-play announcer Steve Buckhantz.
Lawson played 14 seasons in the WNBA, including two seasons with the Washington Mystics, and has been in broadcasting since 2004.
She is one of the few women to call NBA games as a color commentator and will become one of the first to do it as the primary analyst.
“There are not many times in life when you are offered an opportunity that fits on so many levels,” Lawson said in a press release.
