The Washington Wizards announced that guard/forward Jordan McRae suffered a mallet fracture (fingertip) on his right ring finger during their 108-100 loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night. According to a press release, McRae will have surgery on Friday and a timetable for his return will be released next week.
This sets the Wizards’ already thin shooting guard and small forward rotation back. Troy Brown Jr. is still out due to a left calf strain from late September. Furthermore, McRae had a strong start to his 2019-20 season, where he scored 11 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 3 assists in Wednesday’s game.
