Speaking at NBA All-Star Weekend in Charlotte, Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid said he reached out to Wizards point guard John Wall when Wall ruptured his Achilles tendon a few weeks ago, NBC Sports Washington reported.
“I texted him. I feel sorry for him,” Embiid said. “I’ve been in that situation and I know it’s going to be a long time. I’ve had to miss a long time, too.”
Embiid was drafted in 2014 but did not make his NBA debut until the start of the 2016-17 season due to a broken bone in his foot.
