Javaris Crittenton pleads guilty in 2011 shooting, gets 23 years in prison (Ball Don't Lie)

Former NBA guard Javaris Crittenton was sentenced to 23 years in prison and 17 years of probation on Wednesday after entering a guilty plea on charges related to the 2011 shooting death of an Atlanta woman

The 27-year-old Crittenton — who played for the Los Angeles LakersMemphis Grizzlies and Washington Wizards guard in a two-year NBA career and is best known by NBA fans for his infamous firearms-in-the-locker-room confrontation with then-Wizards teammate Gilbert Arenas in 2009 — pleaded guilty to charges of voluntary manslaughter with a weapon and aggravated assault with a firearm, with prosecutors dropping the a murder charge against him as part of the plea agreement.
