The Wizards have started seriously looking external candidates in their search to replace Ernie Grunfeld as the team’s top executive.
Fred Katz of The Athletic reported the team is interviewing Rockets Vice President of Basketball Operations Gersson Rosas this week. Rosas has spent the last 16 years in Houston where he’s played an important role in shaping the Rockets into an elite team. He is also a candidate for the Timberwolves’ vacancy and interviewed for the Pelicans opening before they hired David Griffin.
Candace Buckner is reporting the Wizards will also interview Danny Ferry, who was also a candidate for the Pelicans job.
