Washington Mystics guards Brittney Sykes and Karlie Samuelson will not play until after the Olympic break, per a press release earlier Wednesday afternoon.
Sykes has suffered a left foot sprain (and before, an ankle injury) that forced her to miss most of Washington’s games this season. She had a setback on June 11 which was when Washington played the Atlanta Dream.
As for Samuelson, she suffered a left hand fracture on June 23 when Washington played the Dallas Wings.
With both guards out, expect Julie Vanloo to continue playing major minutes as well as Shatori Walker-Kimbrough.
