On Friday afternoon, the Washington Wizards held a surprise practice at Ballou High School, which is just one mile away from their practice facility. Students were definitely excited to see that their neighbors made the trek to practice on their gym before homecoming.
After practice, Bradley Beal spoke to media where he spoke about the positive environment and also why he embraces mentoring and being a role model for children. He is the reigning NBA Cares Community Assist Award winner, and makes some great points here.
Beal also noted in an ESPN interview with Holly Rowe earlier this week that he is cognizant of the fact that everything he does is magnified, which is why he doesn’t shy away from being a role model.
