Power forward Andrew Nicholson agreed to a $26 million, four-year contract on Sunday with the Washington Wizards, who are working to add depth to their roster after missing the playoffs last season.
Nicholson’s agent, Mark Bartelstein, confirmed the terms of the deal to The Associated Press.
Nicholson wrote on Twitter: “Truly blessed and honored to be part of the wizards organization! Thank you for this opportunity (and) can’t wait to be in uniform!”
The 6-foot-9, 250-pound Canadian averaged 6.9 points and 3.6 rebounds last season, while playing under 15 minutes per game, for the Orlando Magic.
