Former NC State star Aislinn Konig has signed a training camp contract with Washington Mystics. The team made the announcement on Twitter Wednesday evening.
Konig, who played alongside former NC State teammate Kiara Leslie and graduated in May 2020, signed with BCF Elfic Fribourg in Switzerland after going undrafted in last year’s WNBA Draft. The Canadian point guard led her team to a perfect 18-0 season and championship, averaging 21.4 points per game. Additionally, she averaged 3.6 assists and 2.4 steals per game.
Prior to playing overseas, she played an important role in NC State’s success during her four years with the team.
