After agreeing to terms last week, Alan Anderson signs contract with Wizards

The Washington Wizards announced the signing of small forward Alan Anderson on Sunday.

Anderson is among the numerous offseason moves the team has made in order to become more versatile and wing-oriented. He joins the Wizards after playing six seasons with three teams — the Charlotte Bobcats, Toronto Raptors and Brooklyn Nets.

The 6-foot-6 Anderson, who agreed to terms on a contract with the Wizards on Tuesday, has averaged 7.9 points per game and is a career 34.6 percent 3-point shooter.

Alan has an all-around game that complements the other players on our roster and gives us another veteran at the small forward position,” general manager Ernie Grunfeld said in a statement.
