Bobby Portis has signed a two-year, $31 million contract with the New York Knicks, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
The Wizards extended Portis a qualifying offer sheet recently, so they could match it. However, according to Fred Katz of The Athletic, Washington rescinded the offer, so Portis will be experiencing the hustle and bustle of Midtown and the relentless New York media.
Bobby Portis is restricted. Wizards extended him the qualifying offer. So the Wizards will have the right to match. At that price, my educated guess is he’ll end up being a Knick.
