The Philadelphia 76ers selected guard/forward Admiral Schofield with the 42nd pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. Schofield played four seasons for the Tennessee Volunteers, who advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.
Schofield is expected to be traded to the Wizards along with reserve guard/forward Jonathon Simmons.
In the 2018-19 season, Schofield averaged 16.5 points and 6.1 rebounds for the Volunteers. He also made 41.8 percent of his threes while also averaging two made threes a game. This will be an asset for the Wizards who look to add more shooters, like most NBA teams.
