The Washington Wizards signed point guard Will Bynum to a 10-day contract on Friday. In a corresponding move, the team waived Toure' Murry to open a roster spot.
Washington has been in the market for guard help as of late. With Bynum, the team has another deep bench option to work with. While he won't have much time to get into the swing of things with 10 games remaining, he could play an essential for the team's depth when the playoffs start in the few weeks.
One positive note is that, since Bynum hasn't played for another NBA team this year, he's eligible to make the team's playoff roster should he stick in Washington.
Bynum has spent parts of seven seasons with the Golden State Warriors and Detroit Pistons, posting averages of 8.2 points and 3.3 assists in 353 career regular-season contests.
