The Washington Wizards waived Glen Rice Jr. last week to have roster flexibility as the trading and buyout deadlines approach, and there was speculation that point guard Nate Robinson could fill his spot.
Washington reportedly expressed interest in signing him two years ago, and when his contract was bought out by the Boston Celtics, the Wizards rose to the top of his wish list.
The 5'9" Robinson has skills the Wizards could use off the bench - he's athletic, can provide instant offense, and is a good defender. However, Washington said they are not currently interested in signing the former slam dunk champion and have not reached out to him.
