Washington Wizards point guard John Wall has gotten a couple of notable monkeys off his back in 2014-15, registering victories against fellow elite NBA point guards Chris Paul and Derrick Rose.
Rose was the latest top-tier guard to fall, as Wall posted a double-double (16 points, 12 assists) in the Wizards' 102-86 home win over the Bulls on Friday night.

“Didn’t I finally beat Chris and Derrick this year?” Wall said with a smile after the game, via the Washington Times. “It’s a good year. It’s a good start. It’s finally good to beat them.”
Wall, the current leader in All-Star votes amongst all Eastern Conference guards, snapped an 0-5 skid when both he and Rose have shared a court.
In Derrick Rose's eyes, Wall's success is a product of obvious hard work.
“You can tell he worked on his game,” Rose said. “Tonight, they jumped on us. It wasn’t about the matchup, I would say. They jumped on us pretty quick from the beginning.”
