Washington State receiver Tavares Martin Jr. has been suspended for this Saturday’s homecoming game against Colorado, Theo Lawson from the Spokesman-Review reported after the Cougars’ Tuesday night practice.
WSU coach Mike Leach told Lawson that Martin Jr. has been suspended for a violation of team rules, but did not specify what rule Martin had broken. Lawson reports that Martin Jr. did not participate in Tuesday’s practice, but walked off the practice field in street clothes.
Martin is tied for the Pac-12 lead in touchdowns (seven) and he leads WSU with 502 receiving yards.
