It was a rough start to 2016 for WSU men's basketball, but WSU women's basketball hopes the new year starts out differently. A win today against Utah would do the trick. The Cougars dropped their Pac-12 opener in Beasley Coliseum last Tuesday when the rival UW Huskies came to Pullman. Saturday's match-up in Salt Lake will be the Utes first opportunity to gain a Pac-12 victory this season.
In her ninth season as WSU coach, June Daugherty is one win away from number 100 as a Coug. Daugherty will become the third coach to reach 100 WSU wins.
