The Washington State Cougars narrowly missed grabbing control of the Pac-12 North last week against Stanford, but another goal is within grasp against Arizona State on Saturday: Bowl eligibility. That doesn't seem like a lofty target for a team sitting at 5-3, but for a school that has been to just one bowl game since 2003, grabbing that sixth win is always a big deal.
WSU hasn't beat Arizona State since 2011, a stunning win that included a breakout performance from freshman Connor Halliday. Since that game, the Sun Devils have rolled over the Cougs in 46-7, 55-21 and 51-31 routs.
