BREMERTON, Wash. - After the first round of play, the Washington State men's golf team sits in a tie for third place after shooting 5-over; 293 at the Husky Invitational to kick off the 2022 fall season.
After 18 holes of play at the Gold Mountain Golf Course, WSU headed into the second round one stroke shy of second-place Utah and seven strokes away from first-place Long Beach State. WSU posted the best par-3 score in the first round, as the Cougs carded 5-over on par-3 holes.
For the second-consecutive year, junior Preston Bebich opened his season by carding 1-under; 71 in the first round of the Husky Invitational.
