SEATTLE, Wash. – The Washington State women's rowing team finished in the top three in the varsity and third varsity eight events at the 2023 Head of the Lake regatta, Sunday morning in Seattle. WSU's varsity eight finished behind the University of Washington in the Championship 8+ Sponsored by Pocock Racing Shell. The Cougars' third varsity eight took first place in its division, while the JV eight nabbed fourth in its class.
WSU's varsity eight launched in the third flight of the morning, competing against Washington, Portland, Seattle U, and Seattle Pacific. The Cougars' shell, coxed by graduate student Ella Greenslade, clocked a third-place finish in the 3-mile head race with a time of 16:55.
