As the country is in the midst of choosing its two presidential candidates, WSU is also whittling down its list of applicants down for the same position. The school's process of selecting a new president is winding down, and Wednesday announced how leadership would transition in the coming months.
Dan Bernardo has served as interim President since Elson Floyd stepped away, and then died weeks later in June. Bernardo will transition back to his position as provost. Lura Powell, vice chair of the Board of Regents, and Bob Drewel, former chancellor of WSU North Puget Sound at Everett, were announced as co-chairs of the transition to a new President.
