It’s difficult to comprehend how Washington State center Riley Sorenson has managed to find the resilience to keep on suiting up for the Cougars. In a span of nine months last year, Sorenson lost his father to a heart attack, then lost his mother to cancer. Then, to compound matters, Sorenson found out he had testicular cancer, and had to undergo surgery to have a testicle removed.
In spite of all these obstacles, Sorenson has stayed the course, returning to WSU for his senior football season, and has started the first three games for WSU this year.
