Washington State will host Cal State L.A. at 8 p.m. on Tuesday in the Cougars’ third-consecutive home game to open the season.
WSU (2-0) is 5-0 all-time against members of the Division II California Collegiate Athletic Association, but has never played CSLA. The last time the Cougars played a CCLA member school, WSU won 80-50 over San Francisco State, a game in which current WSU head coach Ernie Kent had the call for the Pac-12 Networks.
The Cougars have two more games, including Tuesday’s, before next week’s matchup with No. 9 Gonzaga in Pullman. Kent said Monday that he would like to have a clearer picture of the team’s preferred rotation and substitution patters by the time the Cougars face the Bulldogs.
