WSU inks first part of 2019 class in early signing period

The Washington State Cougars have been one of the best programs in the Pac-12 over the past four seasons, yet they haven’t had highly regarded recruiting classes in that time, and that’s not changing this year: WSU will likely end this cycle without a single recruit considered a four-star prospect by 247Sports’ composite metric.

And yet, this is likely to be the best class yet for Mike Leach in terms of average recruit rating. While he’s not blowing the ceiling off the class, Leach most certainly has raised the floor at WSU, as the Cougs are signing a slew of mid- to high-three-star prospects to supplement a roster that went 10-2 overall this season and returns a huge number of starters next season.
