The Washington State Cougars’ 2018 recruiting class was one of the best yet under Mike Leach, and the Cougs will be looking to build on that in 2019 following 26 wins in the previous three seasons — the best three-year stretch for the program since 2001-2003.
As most programs do, the Cougs landed their quarterback early: Gunner Cruz — seriously, the future quarterback of the Air Raid is named Gunner — is a three-star prospect from Arizona who has good size and a big arm and offers from ASU, Baylor, Syracuse and others.
A pair of skill players already have joined him, including an explosive all-purpose running back from Florida, Jouvensly Bazile, whose diverse skill set just might land him at receiver once he comes to WSU.
