Washington State went heavy on defensive ends in this recruiting class and may have found a gem in Kailua, Hawaii, defensive end Christian Mejia. One of the final commits in this class, committing in January, Mejia signed the dotted line today and is now a Coug.
Mejia is a three-star recruit from Kailua High School and the lone commit for Washington State from the Aloha State. At 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds, Mejia has the frame to compete for reps at the Pac-12 level.
The DE prospect committed on an official visit to Pullman on January 13th. Let’s all bask how remarkable it is for someone from paradise to commit to a school in the middle of a six-week blizzard.
