PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. – The Washington State University men’s golf team placed 11th after shooting 17-over par (301) in the final round at the Saint Mary’s Invitational, Wednesday, at Poppy Hills Golf Course.
San Diego State won the tournament with a three-round score of 1-under par, 851. The Cougars (+43, 895) finished behind fellow Pac-12 schools Oregon State (+15, 867) in third, and Arizona (+31, 883) in eighth. In-state rival Gonzaga placed 12th, three strokes behind WSU.
“We learned a lot from the week and will be better prepared for our next event,” WSU head coach Garrett Clegg said.
