PROVO, Utah – Washington State's comeback came up one match short as BYU came away with a 4-3 victory Friday afternoon at the BYU Outdoor Tennis Courts.
Tied at 3-3, the match came down to No. 1 singles where WSU's Michaela Bayerlova won a second-set tiebreaker to force a deciding third set against BYU's Anastasia Abramyan. Trailing 0-5 in the final set, Bayerlova, ranked No. 86, ran off three-straight games to close within 5-3.
