The Washington State football team has already completed two fall camp practices, but things will look — and especially sound — a little different on Monday when the players practice in shoulder pads for the first time.
There is always something about the start of padded practices that signals football season is really just around the corner. This fall camp will look slightly different when it comes to pads. While the Cougars will wear shoulder pads for the first time in camp, they won’t be in full pads.
Earlier this summer, the NCAA adopted new regulations. Full pads cannot be worn until the sixth practice of fall camp.
