Multiple reports have surfaced over the last couple of weeks linking WSU defensive coordinator Alex Grinch to a possible job opening at Ohio State. Per FootballScoop, he would reportedly become the Buckeyes’ 10th assistant coach after new NCAA rules allowing for a 10th coach go into effect Jan. 9.
But when asked after practice at Southwestern College on Tuesday how he handles reports linking him with the Ohio State job opening, Grinch told reporters: “What you do is focus on the guys you just spent three years with” and talked extensively about how much work the players have put in, and how badly they all want to finish with a 10-win season for the first time since 2003.
