The Cougars have made some changes to their defensive depth chart this week. Freshman Logan Tago has replaced Darius Lemora as the backup nickelback behind Issac Dotson, while Marcellus Pippins has earned the start over Charleston White at the cornerback spot across from Darrien Molton. On the defensive line, junior college transfer Jeremiah Mitchell has replaced Reggie Coates as the backup end behind Darryl Paulo.
It’s good to see that Washington State has found a position for Tago, who was recruited as an athlete, and then listed as a linebacker. He’s proved to be quite a pass-rushing talent, and his athleticism makes him a great fit for the versatile nickelback position in Alex Grinch’s defense.
