Tuesday was measurement day at the Reese’s Senior Bowl, and Washington State’s Joe Dahl checked in at a hair over 6-foot-3, weighing 299 pounds. His hands are 8 3/4 inches wide, he’s got 32 3/4-inch arms, and a 79 1/2-inch wingspan.
What does that tell us?
1. WSU lied on its roster. Dahl is listed as 6-foot-5. That’s normal though. Every team lies on their official roster. That’s why NFL scouts place such an importance on the official measurements at the Senior Bowl and at the NFL Scouting Combine.
2. Dahl’s arms are considered short for an offensive tackle.
